EZ-Release - How It Works

EZ-RELEASE is a oil-hydraulic hook attachment that can securely hold a variety of loads. The attachment can be opened by remote control thus allowing the attached load to be released after it has been maneuvered into the desired position. EZ-RELEASE can hold a variety of devices including chains, cables, belts and slings. With its patented locking-system EZ-RELEASE saves time-consuming and risky acrobatics from workers attempting to release a load that is suspended by a crane hook or similar method.

Position the holding chain and secure it by closing the fastening clamp.		Lift the load which is hooked up to the device and position it into place.

Use the remote control with safe, two-handed operation.		Exact release at the right moment, only possible if the load has been set down.

Reduction of dangerous work tasks: No one needs to climb up or down to the inaccessible areas to unhook the load. EZ-RELEASE therefore increases worker's safety considerably.

Our unique, patented engineering prevents unintentional load release. EZ-RELEASE has been certified according to the high standards of the Austrian Government Rating Agency (TÜV), see below. The Austrian TÜV is known to be one of the toughest certification agencies in Europe and therefore is among the toughest agencies in the world. We are proud to be able to have over-fulfilled their requirements. Based on their strict rules they have tested EZ-RELEASE for 400% of its rated weight allowance.

Release is not possible if the load is up in the air, but instead only if the load has been set down. This is due to the intelligent design of the product. When the crane lifts the hook and the load up, the safety striker pin gets locked into the holding latch. The load can only be released if the load is being set down and the safety striker can be released from the latch.

For safety reasons the remote control can only be activated by pressing the safety button first and then the release button. It cannot be activated if only one or both are being pressed at once. The two remote buttons have to be pressed in the specific order.

The load can also be released by hand if the circumstances require it. EZ-RELEASE has built in a switch which makes this possible.

EZ-RELEASE has been granted the European CE Marking. This means it has conformed with the obligations required by the European legislation and that it therefore has been made safer for end-users and consumers.

Because of the high security standards, EZ-RELEASE has been approved by GS. The term GS stands for 'Geprüfte Sicherheit', which is German for 'SAFETY TESTED' and proves that the product has been tested for conformity with the rigid German equipment safety law and that the product meets its requirements.
